ARTIST’S STATEMENT
Julia’s passion is predominately in jewellery. After Graduating from De Montfort University in Leicester where she studied 3-Dimensional Design in 1999.
She went onto work in a jewellery manufacturing company to further her skills and then set up JEG Design in 2001.
This is where Julia began to realize the harsh reality of becoming a designer maker in the industry, where so much is made in the Far East and its harder and harder to compete.
Because of this it encouraged her to design and showcase a range of work which is beautiful, handmade and but still affordable.
