Found in the market town of Uppingham, Made Gallery is home to a large collection of handmade jewellery, craft and gifts.
Made Gallery was established up by Julia Groundsell in 2007 with the mission of providing an outlet for unique handmade jewellery and gifts. It aims to source and platform work from makers across Britain as well as offering an in house design service.
more information
She went onto work in a jewellery manufacturing company to further her skills and then set up JEG Design in 2001.
This is where Julia began to realize the harsh reality of becoming a designer maker in the industry, where so much is made in the Far East and its harder and harder to compete.
Because of this it encouraged her to design and showcase a range of work which is beautiful, handmade and but still affordable.
Made is constantly changing, regularly updating and introducing new makers. Julia strives to seek out and promote the best emerging talent both locally and throughout UK and Europe.
You were always in for a warm welcome when he was in and he probably didn’t let you leave until you tickled his tummy!
Unfortunately age caught up with Morris and he is no longer with us but he will long remembered, even if it was just for how bad he smelt!

Delivery times
We try and only sell items online that are held in stock but someof the jewellery is made to order. If an item is in stock it will be dispatched as soon as possible, usually within 5 days of placing the order. We will endeavour to deliver items that are made to order within 2 – 4 weeks. Specially commissioned, customised or personalised items may take longer than 2-4 weeks, but we will advise you of likely timescales at the time of ordering.
Any time or date stated for delivery is an estimate only.
If you require an item urgently for a special date or event please contact us and we will try our best to accommodate your requirements.
Cancellation
Orders for stock items can be cancelled any time before dispatch but you must inform Made Gallery in writing by email or letter.
Please note that orders for goods that have been specially commissioned, customised or personalised to order cannot be cancelled.
Return / Refund Policy
We are unable to exchange special commissions unless faulty.
When ordering rings or bangles, please ensure that you have ordered the correct size. Items can be re-sized, but this may be subject to a charge.
If you should receive a faulty or damaged item, please notify us within seven days.
We want you to be delighted with your online purchase and buy with the confidence that your stock item can be returned to us with a full refund provided it is returned within 14 days in its original unworn and saleable condition and packaging. We will not exchange goods that have been worn, do not have their original packaging or show obvious signs of abuse. In this instance, the goods will be returned to the buyer at their own cost.
The item is your responsibility until it reaches us. For your own protection, we recommend that you send the parcel using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods. We cannot be held responsible for returns that are lost in transit.
If you are returning an item that was bought online to us for a refund or an exchange, unless faulty, the cost of returning the item to us is your responsibility. Your original postage costs will be refunded if the item you received was sent in error or is faulty. You are responsible for packing returned items in such a way as to ensure they are not damaged in transit and posted by royal mail special delivery.
Refunds will only be made to the original card, or Paypal account, used to make the purchase, and will be made within 30 days of receipt of the returned items.
To arrange a return, or if the item you received is faulty or is not what you originally ordered, please email julia@madegallery.co.uk quoting your name and address, details of the product, the reason for return and whether you require a replacement. We will then advise you on how to proceed with the return.
Description of goods
Every effort has been made to ensure all images are a true representation of the finished product but due to the handmade nature of the jewellery, slight variations may occur between pieces. Gemstones used may vary slightly in colour due to the nature of the raw material. Please note that colours and images may vary depending on the monitor and browser you are using. Images may not be actual size. Please refer to the individual product dimensions provided for the actual size of each piece.

Late and Lost Deliveries

Please allow 30 days from order to delivery – our standard delivery time is 2-3 weeks.
International delivery – When items are sent to another country, your parcel is often handled by more than one postal service. Unfortunately that means delivery problems are more likely. When we send a parcel abroad, the actual delivery of the item will be the responsibility of the postal service in the country the items are going to. Delays can often be caused by customs checks, which can sometimes take up to 1-2 weeks. Brass Monkeys cannot be held responsible for any customs charges that maybe incurred
Items not received but tracked as being delivered – This frequently happens when items are delivered to places of work. In some cases, your item might have been delivered to a post room or colleague within your company and someone else will have signed for it. In these cases for a small charge, you can request a proof of delivery certificate from the Royal Mail (www.royalmail.com) by filling in a signature request form. We always recommend that you get items delivered to your home address.

Cookies
Cookies are pieces of information that can be placed on a website visitor’s hard drive in order to remember something about the user later. They are very commonplace and are used by websites for many different reasons. Without cookies, it would be very difficult for a web site to allow a visitor to fill up a shopping basket or to remember the user’s preferences or registration details for a future visit.
Cookies cannot read other information saved on the hard drive. They only contain as much information as the user themselves has disclosed to the website.
Made Gallery uses cookies which are deemed necessary for the running of the website like those which allow the website to remember what is in a shopper’s basket or let a user login to their online account.
You can alter the settings of your browser to prevent automatic acceptance of cookies, or delete cookies that have already been set. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of my website.
Google Analytics
This website doesn’t currently use Google Analytics but may do in the future.
Google Analytics is Google’s free web analytics tool that helps website owners understand how their visitors engage with their website. Google Analytics collects information anonymously and reports website trends without identifying individual visitors. Analytics uses its own set of cookies to track visitor interactions. These cookies are used to store information, such as what time the current visit occurred, whether the visitor has been to the site before, and what site referred the visitor to the web page.
Google Analytics customers can view a variety of reports about how visitors interact with their website so they can improve their website and how people find it. A different set of cookies is used for each website, and visitors are not tracked across multiple sites.
To disable this type of cookie, some browsers will indicate when a cookie is being sent and allow you to decline cookies on a case-by-case basis. In addition to declining cookies, you can also install the Google Analytics Opt-out Add-on in your browser, which prevents Google Analytics from collecting information about your website visits.
