Artist’s statement
From a young age I learnt embroidery and sewing techniques from my Grandma, this was the beginning of my love of making. Over the years I have experimented with many different materials, including textiles, metals, plastics and wood. When I started working with silver it seemed logical to combined that with my other love, jewellery. My early influences from textiles still show through in my work. I’m experimenting with using traditional textile techniques with other more durable materials, often finished with silver. I’m exploring new ideas and find new inspiration each day, and hope to learn much more along the way.
